  • No. Movement & Miles is built for runners at every level, including people who've never run a mile. Our beginner programs are designed to take you from "I've never done this" to your first comfortable 5K with strength, mobility, and prehab built in from day one so you don't pick up injuries along the way. If you're not sure where to start, chat with Nelly on this page, and she'll match you to the right program.

  • Almost nothing. A pair of running shoes covers most of what you need. For strength training, we offer programs at multiple equipment levels, some use just your bodyweight, others use resistance bands or dumbbells, and a few are designed for full gym access. When you sign up, you'll be matched to programs based on what you actually have, not what we wish you had.

  • Your first month is completely free. Then it’s $19.99/month or $179.99 for an annual subscription, and you can cancel anytime directly in the app. No phone calls, no hoops. If you cancel before the trial month ends, you won't be charged.

  • No, and we want to be honest about that. Movement & Miles is a coach-led training app; every program, every workout, every progression is built by Meg Takacs. It's not AI-generated, and it's not auto-paced. What you're not getting is a personal coach answering your DMs. What you are getting is the structure, methodology, and weekly programming a coach would give you, available on demand for less than the cost of a single in-person session.

  • Yes. You can connect your Movement & Miles training plans directly to your Garmin so your runs, workouts, and prescribed paces flow straight to your watch. (Apple Watch integration isn't supported yet. Garmin is currently our most-requested and best-built wearable integration.)

  • If you're currently injured or in pain, please see a physical therapist or doctor before starting any new training program, including ours. Movement & Miles is not a medical service, and we're not able to diagnose or treat injuries.

    That said, many of our members joined because they were hurt after another program and wanted a smarter way back. Our prehab-before-rehab philosophy is built around exactly that: mobility, strength, and movement quality as the foundation of running, not afterthoughts. Once you're cleared to train, we can meet you where you are.

  • Most running apps are pace-and-PR machines: they tell you how fast to run and assume the rest takes care of itself. We don't think it does. Movement & Miles is built around a more complete picture of training:
