Run + Lift

Level: Advanced

Duration: 6 weeks 

Each week:

  • 4 running workouts

  • 2 strength training workouts (weights and bodyweight)

  • 1 mobility workout

Program Details: If you're in an off-season, or gearing up to train for another race, this program works great for preparation and/or maintenance. This plan offers an even balance between running and weight training, so it's not super high mileage, but it's great to look at it as prehab and preparation! I would recommend prior experience with barbell and kettlebell exercises, and your longest run is 8 miles. The strength training and mobility workouts are great for someone who wants to improve stability, power, efficiency, joint strength, and core stability.

Equipment: Kettlebells, a barbell, plates, a box or bench, mini resistance bands, and a mat.
